New Vessel Design

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Every project initiates with the Concept Design phase, a stage where we channel our enthusiasm for innovation and creativity to thoroughly explore a spectrum of design possibilities. TENDER & CONTRACT DESIGN

After completing the Concept Design phase, we progress to the tender/contract design stage. Here, we further refine the concept design to a level that enables shipyards to provide accurate cost estimates for the construction of your new vessel. Client deliverables during this phase include:

  • Updated General Arrangement & External Profile

  • Weight & Center of Gravity Calculations

BASIC ENGINEERING

During this stage, the design undergoes optimization to align with the client's requirements and the standards set by the classification society and flag state. Calculations and drawings are refined into a comprehensive basic engineering package for approval by the classification society. Close collaboration with the shipyard is an integral aspect of this design phase to ensure the realization of the client's objectives. While the specific deliverables for this design phase can be tailored to meet individual needs, they typically encompass the following:

DETAIL ENGINEERING

After finalizing the primary construction plan for the Class-approval package, the detailed design phase can commence. The engineering team then transforms the comprehensive construction plan into an 'as-built' package, which includes all the production details and cutting files required by the shipyard.
